Job summary

Jobot is seeking a experienced Millwork Superintendent in New York to lead architectural millwork and commercial projects from planning through installation. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and leadership to drive on-time, on-budget delivery.

The candidate will oversee all millwork operations, collaborate with engineers and designers, and ensure safety and quality standards across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of millwork superintendent experience or similar role.
• Expertise in architectural millwork, woodwork, casework, and commercial projects.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate all millwork activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Review and interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts to determine project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, designers, and other team members to develop and implement project plans.
• Supervise and guide millwork staff, providing training and feedback as needed to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during the project lifecycle, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Maintain detailed project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, and final project closeout documents.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and safety-focused work environment.
