Job summary

Huber Cabinet Works is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own projects from handoff through installation in a Chicago-based millwork environment.

You will coordinate across engineering, shop production, and field teams, while assisting with estimating and preconstruction tasks. The role emphasizes proactive communication, decisive decision-making, and attention to detail to keep multiple projects on track.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in architectural millwork project management or estimating.
• Strong understanding of millwork construction, materials, and sequencing.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, architects, project management team, CAD Team and Field Team.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple millwork projects from handoff through final installation.
• Take ownership of schedule, budget, and overall project performance.
• Identify risks early and drive solutions to keep projects on track.
• Coordinate with CAD engineering, shop production team, General Install Foreman and Project Management team.
• Prepare budgets, proposals, and takeoffs for new and existing clients.
