USAM DC is seeking a Project Engineering Manager to lead the department through the full submittal process, from drawing development to client approvals and transition to Production Engineering.

The role emphasizes coordinating resources, maintaining schedules, and ensuring production-ready drawings with no outstanding revisions before handoff. A bachelor’s degree and millwork/engineering background are required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5 years’ experience in architectural millwork or similar industry.
• Familiarity with Arch. drawings/blueprints and AutoCAD drafting.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with scheduling and planning new projects and project revisions.
• Assign Lead Project Engineers to new projects based on workload.
• Oversee submittal engineering process and keep projects on schedule.
• Monitor and track submittal budgets for each project.
• Identify schedule, staffing, and resource issues before impact.
• Provide problem-solving support and escalate as needed.
• Develop, implement, and maintain department SOPs and processes.
• Coordinate with Estimating, Project Management, Production Eng., and others.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and personnel development.
• Approve Engineering timesheets and cost coding.
