Job summary

Anton Cabinetry, a Texas-based architectural millwork firm, is seeking a Project Lead in engineering to own design and engineering for high-standards projects. You’ll partner with a Project Manager to guide custom millwork from concept through fabrication and installation.

You’ll collaborate with customers and design teams, translate architectural intent into buildable solutions, and supervise drafting partners while ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in commercial architectural millwork/casework with ability to resolve details independently.
• Ability to develop creative, buildable solutions that account for design intent, fit and finish, fabrication and installation.
• Strong understanding of millwork materials, joinery, shop drawings, manufacturing methods and installation practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; comfortable with digital project documents.
• Ability to explain technical recommendations to customers and colleagues, guide others’ work and manage priorities across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

At Anton Cabinetry, you’ll partner with a Project Manager to lead custom architectural millwork projects, taking ownership of design and engineering for work with high standards for fit and finish. You’ll collaborate with customers and architectural design teams, develop creative solutions, and guide the technical work that brings them to life. This is a role for someone who enjoys both figuring out how something should be built and working with others to make it happen.

What you’ll do

• Develop the millwork solution. Translate architectural intent even when details are incomplete into practical materials, construction details, and installation approaches.
• Contribute to customer and design-team discussions. Partner with the PM in meetings, bringing technical expertise, and recommended solutions that preserve the architect’s vision.
• Lead design and engineering execution. Handle complex detailing, guide engineers and drafting partners, and review drawings for accuracy, coordination, and constructability.
• Keep technical work coordinated. Work with the PM, production, and installation to resolve issues, meet agreed deadlines, and apply lessons learned to improve standards and prevent rework.

What you’ll bring

• Relevant experience: At least three years in commercial architectural millwork and/or casework, with demonstrated ability to resolve technical details independently.
• Technical judgment: Ability to develop creative, buildable solutions that account for design intent, fit and finish, fabrication, and installation.
• Construction knowledge: Strong understanding of millwork materials, joinery, shop drawings, manufacturing methods, and installation practices.
• Software proficiency: Proficiency in AutoCAD and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and digital project documents.
• Communication and follow-through: Ability to explain technical recommendations to customers and colleagues, guide others’ work, and manage priorities across multiple projects.
