Job summary

Anton Cabinetry, a custom cabinetry and architectural millwork company, is seeking a Construction Estimator to prepare proposals after identifying materials, labor, time, subcontractor equipment and overhead costs.

This role maintains a database of products, vendors and industry trends to accurately estimate proposals, and reports management on short- and long-term resource needs to complete projects on plan and profitably.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating material, labor and time costs from inputs, vendors and data.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work under changing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of Anton Cabinetry's products, services, and manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency with drafting, engineering principles, and construction take-off applications.
• Ability to read, interpret and analyze blueprint-type drawings for custom millwork.

• Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7am-5pm, Friday 7am-4pm

Position Summary

• Preparing and presenting proposals for clients after identifying materials, labor, time, subcontractor equipment and overhead cost estimates.
• Preparing reports for management indicating both short and long-term requirements for resources needed to complete projects to plan, organize and schedule work and to determine profitability.
• Maintain database of products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, customer preferences and industry trends to accurately estimate proposals.
• Work closely with other departments using clear communication and teamwork.

• Experience with estimation of material, labor and time costs from various inputs, vendors, and data.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively, despite numerous interruptions and changing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of Anton Cabinetry's products, services, manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database, graphic design, and construction take-off applications.
• Strong understanding of drafting and engineering principles, standards, and terminology.
• Able to read, interpret and analyze blueprint-type drawings, and knowledge of layout, shop drawing and construction drawing principles for custom commercial millwork and casework.
• Have strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact tactfully and effectively with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing.
• Have strong project planning, problem solving, decision-making and business reasoning skills, combined with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Have strong knowledge and accuracy with mathematical concepts and calculations.
• Experience using TradeSoft, PlanSwift, and Bluebeam construction software.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years' experience with estimation of layout, design, construction, installation project costs for custom commercial or residential casework and/or millwork.
• Associate's degree with a focus on construction management or equivalent combination of experience and education.
