Job summary

Anton Cabinetry seeks an experienced Estimator to prepare and present proposals for commercial millwork projects. You will identify materials, labor, subcontractor needs, and overhead costs to accurately estimate project proposals.

You will maintain product and vendor databases, coordinate with multiple departments, and help plan resources to ensure profitability and on-time delivery for clients across the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating material, labor and time costs from diverse inputs.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong knowledge of products, services, and manufacturing operations in millwork.
• Proficiency with drafting/engineering principles and construction drawings.

• Schedule: Monday - Thursday 7am-5pm, Friday 7am-4pm

Position Summary

• Preparing and presenting proposals for clients after identifying materials, labor, time, subcontractor equipment and overhead cost estimates.
• Preparing reports for management indicating both short and long-term requirements for resources needed to complete projects to plan, organize and schedule work and to determine profitability.
• Maintain database of products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, customer preferences and industry trends to accurately estimate proposals.
• Work closely with other departments using clear communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience with estimation of material, labor and time costs from various inputs, vendors, and data.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work effectively, despite numerous interruptions and changing priorities.
• Strong knowledge of Anton Cabinetry's products, services, manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, database, graphic design, and construction take-off applications.
• Strong understanding of drafting and engineering principles, standards, and terminology.
• Able to read, interpret and analyze blueprint-type drawings, and knowledge of layout, shop drawing and construction drawing principles for custom commercial millwork and casework.
• Have strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact tactfully and effectively with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing.
• Have strong project planning, problem solving, decision-making and business reasoning skills, combined with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Have strong knowledge and accuracy with mathematical concepts and calculations.
• Experience using TradeSoft, PlanSwift, and Bluebeam construction software.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 or more years' experience with estimation of layout, design, construction, installation project costs for custom commercial or residential casework and/or millwork.
• Associate's degree with a focus on construction management or equivalent combination of experience and education.
