The Garrett Group seeks a Senior Military Operations Planner to support high-level DoD and Combatant Command planning. The role involves translating national guidance into executable operational plans, orders, and campaign frameworks for global operations.

Ideal candidates will have 15+ years in DoD operations, 5+ years as an operations planner in joint/combined environments, and JPME Phase II with SSS background.

Competenze

• 15+ years of DoD military operations experience.
• 5+ years as an operations planner in joint/combined environments.
• 3+ years supporting OSD, Joint Staff, CCMD, MAJCOM or equivalent senior org.
• Expertise in Joint Planning Process (JPP) and operational plan development.
• Ability to translate strategic guidance into executable plans and directives.
• Strong written and verbal communication; experience briefing senior leadership.

• Lead and support development of strategic and operational plans, including OPLANs, CONPLANs, and campaign plans.
• Apply the Joint Planning Process to analyze mission requirements and produce COAs.
• Translate guidance from senior leaders into actionable plans and directives.
• Coordinate with senior leaders and interagency stakeholders to ensure unity of effort.
• Develop operational orders, planning directives, and supporting documentation.
• Conduct mission analysis, risk assessments, and feasibility evaluations.
• Contribute to exercise planning, wargaming, and after-action reviews.
• Provide subject matter expertise in global force management and strategic deterrence operations.
• Develop and deliver senior leader briefings and planning products.
• Ensure compliance with policies and planning standards across DoD.
