Job summary

Unissant, Inc. seeks a Senior Manpower/Functional Subject Matter Expert (with Military Manpower experience) to join our team in Alexandria, VA.

You will define manpower requirements for the FMTS system, work with government stakeholders, and coordinate functional changes across processes and interfaces. The role demands deep DoD manpower knowledge, strong Excel skills, and experience in client-facing engagements.

Qualifications

• Ten years of military manpower management experience with DoD familiarity.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel (macros and linked spreadsheets).
• Minimum of two years in client-facing consulting engagements preferred.
• Awareness of Global Force Management Data Initiative (GFMDI).
• Knowledge of DoD PPBE process and manpower resource management.
• Joint staff / military experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, organization, and analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Define manpower business and functional requirements for the FMTS system.
• Serve as Government liaison to explain processes and policy changes for FMTS.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to propose and prioritize functional changes.
• Analyze gaps between delivered functionality and client needs; propose solutions.
• Coordinate technical estimates for ROMs/LOEs for government decisions.
• Support Global Force Management Data Initiative interface requirements.
• Perform functional testing and coordinate user-acceptance testing on updates.
• Investigate issues via tickets and guide break/fix actions.
• Work with development teams to ensure capabilities meet requirements.
• Prepare training content and project documentation for stakeholders.
