Job summary

State of Missouri is seeking a program director for the Missouri Military Funeral Honors Program (MMFHP) to lead area-wide honors operations and coordinate requests for veterans and service members. You will develop and maintain policies, procedures, and SOPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal law, while supporting the broader mission of the MMFHP.

The role includes managing a team, liaising with CAC, funeral homes, and military units, and overseeing leave and benefits as applicable

Qualifications

• Knowledge of military structure, capabilities, and procedures.
• Experience in organizing and managing office processes.
• Must possess and maintain a current Missouri Driver’s License.
• Ability to manage a team and sustain a military atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Funeral Honors are provided to Veterans and Service Members per state and federal law.
• Coordinate with CAC, Funeral Home, Honor Guard, and supporting units to fulfill MFH requests.
• Coordinate regional support for MFH ceremonies and engage VSO when needed.
• Ensure Honor Guard members comply with AR670-1, FM 21-20, and related regulations.
