Job summary

FlightSafety International is seeking a Lead Project Engineer to guide complex military flight simulation programs from concept to delivery. You will coordinate internal engineering teams, manage schedules and budgets, and interface with military customers and prime contractors.

The role demands strong cross-functional leadership, project management expertise, and the ability to navigate DoD requirements and security clearances. Travel and on-site deployment may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems) or a closely related field.
• 5+ years engineering experience in aerospace/defense or flight simulation, including 2+ years in leadership roles.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional engineering teams through full development lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of complex military flight simulation projects from concept through system delivery.
• Serve as the primary technical interface for internal teams, external military customers, and prime contractors.
• Assist the Program Manager with master schedules, budgets, and customer support strategies.
