Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries, Mission Technologies division, seeks a seasoned Concept Developer (Military Operations Analyst 4) to advance Joint Staff/JWC concepts, wargaming, and experimentation from the Suffolk, VA area. You will operate in a high-tempo team, delivering innovative CONOPS through futures analysis and intelligence integration.

Qualifications

9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years with Masters; 4 years with PhD/JD or 13 years HS alternative.
Experience developing operational concepts, future force designs, or CONOPS at Joint/CCMD/Service level.
Experience in wargaming, experiments, or analyses focused on future conflict environments.
Strong understanding of Joint doctrine, planning processes, and force development.
Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, actionable concepts.
Proven ability to communicate to senior leaders.
Experience in classified environments and handling sensitive information.
Ability to work independently and in high tempo teams.
Familiarity with futures methodologies such as scenarios and trend analysis.

Responsibilities

Provide expert-level SME in developing future concepts at Joint Staff and Combatant Command levels.
Integrate warfighting domain knowledge with intelligence, threat assessments and futures projections.
Operationalize Joint Warfighting Concept through futures analysis and wargaming results.
Advise senior military/government leaders on methodologies and best practices for future concepts.
Prepare and deliver concise briefings to senior officers and government civilians.
Work daily within a SCIF environment.
Travel to support briefings, conferences, workshops, wargames, and engagements.
Apply extensive technical expertise with AOR awareness across disciplines.
Bring current experience as a senior military planner at Joint/CCMD/Service level.
