Insight Global is seeking a Senior Construction Purchasing Agent in Austin to lead procurement for Commercial and MILCON projects within a Design-Build organization.

The role focuses on trade engagement, bidding, subcontract management, and ensuring compliance with federal requirements, including DFARS and FAR. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills are essential for on-time delivery and cost control.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in construction procurement, purchasing, subcontract administration, or related.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Proven experience developing and managing subcontracts on complex projects.
• Strong understanding of project buyout, cost structures, and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement lifecycle for Commercial and MILCON projects, including trade outreach, bidding, and subcontract execution.
• Develop and manage RFPs, bid packages, scopes of work, and documentation.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals for compliance, pricing, and capability.
• Negotiate subcontract agreements balancing cost, schedule, quality, and risk.
• Ensure flow-down clauses and compliance provisions are included in contracts.
• Build relationships with qualified trade partners for federal/military work.
• Monitor performance and ensure adherence to schedules, quality and safety requirements.
• Maintain procurement docs and support audits.
