Job summary

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of Microsoft infrastructure experience.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and Group Policy.
  • Strong enterprise patch management experience.
  • Microsoft Defender administration.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience supporting enterprise Microsoft environments.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Microsoft 365 apps (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive).
  • Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, and Group Policy.
  • Handle Microsoft 365 licensing and tenant configuration.
  • Manage Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, RBAC and user lifecycle.
  • Lead enterprise Windows patch management for workstations and servers.
  • Develop deployment rings, testing, rollback and validation processes.
  • Monitor compliance and coordinate remediation with Infra and InfoSec.
  • Administer Defender technologies and improve Secure Score.
  • Support CMMC, NIST environments.
  • Develop PowerShell automation and standardize administration.
  • Partner with Infrastructure, InfoSec, Enterprise Applications and Service Desk teams to provide Tier 3 support.

Job Overview

We’re hiring a Senior Microsoft Platform Engineer to own and manage the organization’s Microsoft ecosystem, with primary responsibility for Microsoft 365 administration, endpoint management, identity services, enterprise patch management, and Microsoft platform engineering. This role ensures the Microsoft platform remains secure, highly available, compliant, and operationally efficient while partnering closely with Infrastructure, Information Security, Enterprise Applications, and Service Desk teams. This is a hands‑on technical engineering role.


Responsibilities


  • Microsoft Platform Administration

    • Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive)

    • Manage Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID and Group Policy

    • Administer Microsoft 365 licensing and tenant configuration



  • Identity & Access Management

    • Manage Entra ID, Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, RBAC and user lifecycle

    • Maintain secure identity governance



  • Endpoint Management & Enterprise Patching (Primary Focus)

    • Own Microsoft Intune and endpoint management

    • Lead enterprise Windows patch management for workstations and servers

    • Develop deployment rings, testing, rollback and validation processes

    • Monitor compliance and coordinate remediation with Infrastructure and InfoSec



  • Microsoft Security & Compliance

    • Administer Microsoft Defender technologies

    • Improve Microsoft Secure Score

    • Support CMMC, NIST and Microsoft GCC/GCC High environments



  • Automation & Operational Excellence

    • Develop PowerShell automation

    • Standardize administration and improve operational efficiency



  • Cross‑functional Collaboration

    • Partner with Infrastructure, InfoSec, Enterprise Applications and Service Desk teams

    • Provide Tier 3 Microsoft platform support




Requirements and Qualifications

Must-haves:


  • 8-12 years of Microsoft infrastructure experience

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune and Group Policy

  • Strong enterprise patch management experience

  • Microsoft Defender administration

  • Strong PowerShell scripting

  • Experience supporting enterprise Microsoft environments

  • List hard requirements and preferred qualifications. Try to keep the preferred ones to measurable skills.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Microsoft GCC/GCC High experience

  • Windows Autopilot

  • MECM / SCCM

  • Azure administration

  • CMMC / NIST environments

  • Microsoft certifications (Endpoint Administrator, Identity Administrator, Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Administrator Expert)

National Pay Range


$125,600 – $140,000 USD
