A1FED is seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft 365 (M365) Administrator to lead the administration, security, and optimization of enterprise M365 environments for a federal customer. The role emphasizes tenant management, Intune, Exchange Online, Entra ID, SSO/MFA, RBAC, and PowerShell automation in a fully remote setting.

Qualifications

• 6+ years hands-on Microsoft 365 administration in enterprise environments.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 architecture, administration, and design best practices.
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 tenant subscriptions, licensing, configurations, and administrative operations.
• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Intune, including device enrollment, configuration management, and compliance.
• Extensive experience administering Exchange Online.
• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure Active Directory), including identity management, directory synchronization, and hybrid identity solutions.
• Experience implementing, configuring, and troubleshooting SSO and MFA solutions.
• Experience designing and maintaining RBAC models and permissions.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills and automation capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and remotely.
• Must possess Federal Public Trust clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
• Must reside and perform work within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft 365 tenant configurations, licensing, service settings, and platform operations.
• Monitor tenant health, performance, and security.
• Manage Intune device enrollment, configuration, and compliance policies.
• Administer Exchange Online mailboxes, groups, mail flow, and retention policies.
• Manage Entra ID/Azure AD including directory synchronization and hybrid identity.
• Configure and troubleshoot SSO and MFA solutions.
• Design and maintain RBAC models with least-privilege access.
• Develop, enhance, and troubleshoot PowerShell scripts for automation.
• Apply Microsoft architecture and best practices to improve reliability, security, and efficiency.
• Diagnose and resolve complex Microsoft 365 issues and collaborate with teams.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
