Motive Energy Inc. is seeking a Senior Microgrid Solutions Engineer to lead the modeling and design of microgrid solutions for customers.

You will translate load data and site constraints into right-sized, cost-effective systems using generators, solar, BESS and other technologies. You will mentor a team of Application Engineers, support Sales and Project Development, and help establish engineering best practices to ensure technically sound and commercially viable solutions for customer

Formación

• 3+ years in microgrid, distributed generation or onsite power engineering or techno-commercial proposal development.
• Proficient in HOMER Pro and XENDEE; experience with Energy Toolbase or similar tools.
• Hands-on experience sizing and integrating gas generators, fuel cells and/or linear generators with BESS.
• Working knowledge of microgrid controls, interconnection standards (NEC/UL).
• Experience building equipment-level cost estimates and financial models for proposals.

Responsabilidades

• Model and size microgrids in HOMER Pro, XENDEE or similar tools using load data, tariffs, and resilience requirements.
• Define microgrid operating modes and dispatch strategies (grid-parallel, islanded, peak shaving, etc.).
• Assess site constraints and develop preliminary SLDs and 10% design packages for handoff.
• Evaluate technologies by efficiency, heat rate, emissions, fuel flexibility and lifecycle cost; recommend best mix.
• Build equipment-level BOM and pricing; support project economics for proposals and RFPs.
• Support data centers and mission-critical facilities where capacity/timeline drive design decisions.
• Mentor junior engineers and train Sales and Project Development teams.
