Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks an experienced Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Technologist to support semiconductor equipment in a manufacturing environment. You will own calibrations, wafer handling, gas and vapor delivery, abatement, vacuum pumps, RF and DC power, electro‑mechanical systems, and related facilities maintenance.

You will contribute to safety and quality system improvements and develop engineered solutions to improve performance and reliability.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years relevant experience.
Electrical/electronics and mechanical systems knowledge; basic computing skills.
Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L clearance.

Responsibilities

Plan and perform duties in electromechanical, electrical, chemical or optical areas.
Construct, calibrate, adjust, test and maintain equipment, components, device or systems.
Develop, evaluate and work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Operate related equipment, conduct tests and report data in a prescribed format.
Specify and perform calibration and alignment checks; design and make adjustments, modifications and replacements as needed; coordinate work with facilities and trades as needed.
Analyze data and recommend modifications to components or test procedures to meet desired specifications.
Coordinate equipment support contracts and the work of vendor equipment support personnel.
