Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in New Mexico is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer or Maintenance Technologist to support semiconductor equipment in our MESAFab environment. The role focuses on calibrations, wafer handling, gas and vapor delivery, abatement, vacuum pumps, RF and DC power, and electro-mechanical systems, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

You will troubleshoot complex problems, own issues from detection to resolution, and collaborate with a seasoned team to design

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years relevant experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, electronics, mechanical systems and basic computing.
• Ability to acquire and maintain a DOE L clearance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform duties in the electromechanical, electrical, chemical or optical areas.
• Construct, calibrate, adjust, test and maintain equipment, components, device or systems.
• Develop, evaluate and work from engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
• Operate related equipment, conduct tests and report data in a prescribed format.
• Specify and perform calibration and alignment checks; design and make adjustments, modifications and replacements as needed; coordinate work with facilities and trades as needed.
• Analyze data and recommend modifications to components or test procedures to meet desired specifications.
• Coordinate equipment support contracts and the work of vendor equipment support personnel.
