Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in El Segundo, CA, invites a Sr. MTS to advance microelectronics research for space systems. You will investigate radiation effects, reliability, and radiation-hardness-by-design on advanced CMOS and related materials.

Collaboration with national security programs and academia is expected, with opportunities to publish and mentor. Qualifications include a Ph.D. (or near completion) in a related field, device physics expertise, and experience with semiconductor testing

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months).
• Knowledge of microelectronic and/or optoelectronic device physics.
• Experience testing semiconductor devices and reporting results.
• Proficiency with Python, LabVIEW, or MATLAB for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to national security space programs and collaborators.
• Conduct research on microelectronic device technologies for space systems.
• Present results at meetings and publish in refereed journals.
• Perform radiation testing on devices using gamma, x-rays, neutrons, protons, ions.
