Job summary

Amentum is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to lead the development of electrical testing for high-reliability, radiation-hardened microelectronic components used in DoD systems.

The role involves designing test interfaces, creating test circuits and PCBs, and developing automated test software to control equipment. Candidates should have extensive lab skills and a security clearance capable of obtaining an active Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with ten years of relevant experience in microelectronics/electronic components.
• Experience with lab test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, and analyzers.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Motivated and creative with ability to work across multiple functional areas.
• Well organized and able to handle multiple projects.
• Team player and able to receive mentoring from senior engineers and leadership.
• Aptitude for solving technical problems and creating customer solutions.
• Understanding of microelectronics concepts, theories, and methods.

Responsibilities

• Design, development, and simulation of test circuits for characterization of microelectronic components.
• Design and development of printed circuit boards.
• Design and development of automated test programs.
• Data collection on test components and reviews by others.
• Contribute to analysis and design reviews.
• Prepare reports and correspondence.
• Track and maintain project development status.
• Produce technical documentation and system specifications.
• Interface with customers in design reviews and working groups.
• Verify compliance with engineering standards and test procedures.
