Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Senior Radiation Test Electrical Engineer to act as a Radiation Effects Subject Matter Expert. You will assess radiation impact, model interactions with components, and support testing across microelectronic parts, dosing strategies, and SEE mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or other relevant field.
• 10+ years of Radiation Engineering, electronic component testing, or related experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Support radiation effects decisions on overall system performance.
• Design and harden systems across dose rate, TID, NDD, and SEE.
• Work with interdisciplinary teams to ensure radiation hardening across the product lifecycle.
• Assist in test plan development and review.
• Review reports and participate in Radiation Review Boards.
• Help generate templates and guides for radiation engineering.
• Assist in developing training materials and tools for new hires.
• Assist with testing efforts and test station setup/verification.
• Collaborate on program requirements and provide feedback on approach to meet requirements.
