PsychoGenics is seeking a Scientist/Sr. Scientist specialized in microdialysis to lead CNS-focused studies in a fast-paced preclinical CRO.

The role involves managing personnel, training staff, and developing experiments using various microdialysis techniques in rodents to quantify neurotransmitters and large molecules. The candidate will work with senior leadership and engage with clients on study design and reporting.

Formación

• Previous management/supervisory experience.
• PhD in Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or other related degree.
• 3–10 years of demonstrated applicable microdialysis experience.
• Experience with standard, push-pull, retro, and quantitative microdialysis techniques.
• Ability to interact with all levels of management/employees and work effectively as a member of a team.
• Ability to simultaneously manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
• Demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Rapidly gain expertise in all procedures and techniques used by the microdialysis team.
• Work and manage all levels of personnel in a positive, respectful manner.
• Ability to train staff and help nurture their careers.
• Design and develop experiments that use microdialysis following pharmaceutical agents and/or genetic manipulations.
• Perform, manage, and oversee studies, including surgeries, dosing, QC'ing, and coordination with the PGI bioanalysis team when applicable.
• Write study plans and reports and discuss data collection and analyses clearly.
• Engage with clients on study design and reporting of data.
• Process data (Prism) and create clear data presentations.
• Maintenance and troubleshooting of microdialysis equipment.
