Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a Medical Technologist III to provide technical and regulatory oversight of one or more laboratory sections and perform MT II duties. The role requires MT certification eligibility or current MT credentials, plus strong communication and regulatory compliance skills.

Work hours include night shifts and weekend coverage, with a focus on accurate laboratory procedures and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology; eligible for certification exam (ASCP, NCA, AMT, AAB, HHS).
• Associates Degree in laboratory or medical laboratory technology with MT certification (ASCP/NCA/AMT/AAB/HHS).
• Military program graduate in science with MT certification (ASCP/NCA/AMT/AAB/HHS).
• Grandfathered MT with current MT certification (ASCP/NCA/AMT/AAB/HHS).
• Two years’ experience in a clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical and regulatory oversight of one or more laboratory sections.
• Perform the duties of a Medical Technologist II.
• Ensure procedures comply with proper standards and regulations.
• Submit to color-acuity screening test prior to work.
