Job summary

Eurofins USA Food Testing is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor in Columbia, MO. The role oversees daily operations of the microbiology department, supervising staff, coordinating testing, and ensuring quality and regulatory compliance.

You will perform and review analyses, manage equipment, and support continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires a HS diploma with 5+ years of lab experience or a BS degree with 2+ years, plus strong data analysis and SOP knowledge.

Qualifications

• HS diploma and 5+ years of laboratory experience.
• BS Degree plus 2+ years of laboratory experience.
• Experience in laboratory procedures, data analysis, computer operations, mathematics, and technical/business writing.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Manage daily operations of the microbiology department including scheduling, supervising, guiding, and assisting in manual/instrument analyses.
• Perform timely and accurate analysis of samples to meet customer commitments.
• Have authority to execute a work stoppage for quality issues and coordinate work stoppage recovery.
• Ensure adherence to quality measures and regulatory procedures.
• Review and validate technical data for accuracy and SOP/test method compliance.
• Train assigned staff on test methods, SOPs, regulations, and lab policies.
• Maintain records and logs for quality control and reporting.
