Job summary

Fleet Laboratories in Lynchburg, VA, seeks a Microbiology Supervisor to lead the Quality Control Laboratory and ensure microbiological quality across raw materials, bulk products, and finished goods. You will coordinate testing, train departments on cGMPs, and drive investigations to resolve microbiological issues.

The role requires a BS in a relevant science and 5–7 years of microbiology lab experience, with strong leadership and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a scientific discipline (Biology or Microbiology preferred) or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in Microbiology laboratory work.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of the microbiologists in the Quality Control Laboratory.
• Coordinate microbiological testing according to established standards and specifications.
• Lead and write investigations related to microbiological issues.
• Perform the microbiological aspect of validation protocols, including sanitations and new equipment.
