• Performs all microbiology procedures including bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology and parasitology.
• Participates in development of new techniques and procedures.
• Evaluates and resolves problems related to specimen collection and processing.
• Ensures quality control, calibration, and instrument maintenance.
• Provides guidance and training to staff and assists in scheduling and coverage.
