Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian is seeking a Clinical Lab Scientist in Microbiology for day shifts in Los Angeles. This role performs high-complexity microbiology tests across bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, and parasitology with strong quality control and teamwork requirements.

Three to five years in a clinical lab, MT (ASCP) and California CLS license are required. Flexibility to cover shifts and strong communication skills are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Three to five years in a clinical laboratory.
• Two years in bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology and parasitology.
• Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Must work in a union environment.
• MT (ASCP) certification.
• California CLS license.
• LA County Fire Card within 30 days.
• ARC within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform high complexity microbiology procedures: bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, and parasitology.
• Assist in development of new procedures and training.
• Ensure quality control and instrument maintenance.
