Job summary

Qualifications

• Microbiology experience, preferred.
• Valid State of California license as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and priorities work duties.
• Identify and solve technical problems during routine testing.
• Adhere to quality control policies and document all quality control activities.
• Assist in developing and recording systems for controls in work steps.
• Assist in training new employees and students.
• Review and solve quality control problems with the section supervisor.
• Maintain records and ensure proficiency testing samples are handled properly.
• Perform high complexity testing as authorized by the laboratory.
