Job summary

USPL is seeking a Senior Microbiologist in North Brunswick, NJ, to perform enumeration testing on finished products and raw materials. You will develop, validate, and execute rapid microbial methods (Biolumix/Soleris) per USP and ISO guidelines, ensuring accurate, well-documented results for GMP-compliant QC workflows.

The role requires an MS in Microbiology and at least five years of QC microbiology experience in dietary supplements, food, or OTC manufacturing, with strong knowledge of cGMP,

Qualifications

• MS in Microbiology or related scientific disciplines.
• 5+ years in microbiology laboratory techniques.
• Minimum of 5 years QC lab work experience with industry exposure in dietary supplements, food, or OTC manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform compendial, published, and customer-provided methods for enumeration testing.
• Develop and validate methods per USP & ISO guidelines for routine microbiology work.
• Carry out rapid microbial testing using Neogen Soleris and USP methods.
• Prepare media and conduct growth promotion testing for new methods.
• Maintain GMP-compliant notebooks and lab records with accurate reporting.
