Job summary

Career Site is seeking a Junior Microbiologist in North Brunswick, NJ to assist in rapid microbial testing of finished products and raw materials within the Quality Control department.

The role requires a BS/MS in Chemistry or related field, 1 year of basic microbiology techniques, and 1–3 years in a QC lab (dietary supplements/food/OTC). The position is exempt and lab-based, with regular hours and occasional extended shifts.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Chemistry or related scientific discipline.
• 1 year experience in basic microbiology laboratory techniques.
• Minimum of 1–3 years QC lab work in dietary supplements, food or OTC manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid microbial testing of finished products and raw materials.
• Conduct microbial limit testing as per USP.
• Maintain environmental monitoring program for production and lab areas.
• Prepare media and perform growth promotion testing.
• Collect and analyze cleaning validation samples and compile data.
