Job summary

Eagle Analytical in Houston, TX seeks a Microbiologist II to perform advanced microbiological testing in a cleanroom, ensuring compliance with ISO 17025, cGMP/cGLP and SOPs. You will serve as a technical resource, support training, and contribute to client-focused projects.

Responsibilities include sterility, endotoxin, and particulate matter testing; maintain chain of custody; troubleshoot equipment; review data and draft SOPs; participate in continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biology or Microbiology, or a Bachelor’s with 3+ years of microbiology experience.
• Experience in clean room environments and with Biological Safety Cabinets preferred.
• Experience in cGLP or cGMP laboratories is a plus.
• Experience in sterility, endotoxin, microbial testing and related QC functions.
• Strong communication and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate independently performing advanced microbiological testing (sterility, endotoxin, and particulate matter) per SOPs in a cleanroom.
• Review schedules and ensure timely collection and testing of samples; reconcile test samples after incubation.
• Maintain chain of custody for all samples, manage aliquoting, storage, receipt, and shipping.
• Participate in continuous improvement, optimize lab operations, and support cross-functional projects.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate equipment; ensure timely data review and documentation; draft and review SOPs.
