Job summary

NFI is seeking a Level II Technician to perform comprehensive maintenance on LP and electric forklifts. You will demonstrate expertise in either LP or electric systems, handle repairs, and operate hand tools with strong attention to safety and quality.

This role requires reliable communication, customer service, and the ability to follow service manuals while collaborating with lead technicians. The position involves preventive maintenance, tune-ups, part replacements, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of trouble shooting with electric or LP equipment.
• Experience in basic repairs of electric or LP equipment.
• Experience in attachment repairs.
• Basic electrical, LP, hydraulic systems, and DVOM knowledge.
• Basic wiring schematic reading experience.
• Read and follow service manual instructions.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• MS Office familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform Preventative Maintenance services on LP and electric forklifts.
• Change fluids, filters, and perform engine-related maintenance.
• Tune ups, valve adjustments, spark plug/replacements.
• Brake/riser adjustments and wheel bearing inspection.
• Battery inspection, removal, repairs, and installation.
• Paint touch ups and part replacements as needed.
• Troubleshoot basic overheating and steering issues.
• Maintain 30 completed PM services per month.
• Maintain 80–90% productivity level.
