Job summary

Hologic Newark, Delaware seeks a Senior Metrology Technician to support engineering through dimensional inspection, development of inspection methods, and execution of MSAs using PC-DMIS, CMMs, laser scanners, and vision systems.

The role involves reading drawings and GD&T, designing fixtures, and creating SOPs while collaborating with engineers and technicians to ensure accurate measurements for new product development and manufacturing initiatives.

Qualifications

• PC-DMIS experience is required.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
• Advanced ability to read, and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to collect and document dimensional inspection data.
• Develop, validate, and maintain inspection programs using PC-DMIS.
• Operate CMMs, portable CMM arms, laser scanners, Keyence vision systems, optical comparators, and conventional measurement equipment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.
• Design and implement fixture solutions to support accurate and repeatable inspections.
• Develop and execute inspection procedures and measurement plans.
• Identify and resolve inspection and measurement issues with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct inspection studies and capability assessments to support quality objectives.
