Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join the Metals team. The role focuses on maintaining and developing critical ALD process parameters, troubleshooting issues, and delivering improvements with data-driven analysis.

You will own projects, collaborate with equipment engineers and manufacturing teams, and help reduce scrap, improve yield, and optimize OEE while adhering to safety and quality standards. On-site role in Austin, TX.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in engineering, physics, chemistry, or material science.
• Minimum 5 years in semiconductor processing.
• Experience in high-volume semiconductor manufacturing preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of ASM EMERALD ALD platform.
• Strong understanding of process parameters and equipment signals.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex process issues.
• Own and improve ALD process flows.
• Develop projects to close KPI gaps and improve yield/defect reduction.
• Produce high-quality reports with graphs showing optimized process state.
• Adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines.
