Job summary

ATI is seeking a technically driven engineer to support and optimize melting and remelting operations for high-performance alloys, including nickel and cobalt base alloys and specialty steels. This role serves as a key technical contact for internal teams and customers, driving process excellence across VIM, ESR, and VAR.

You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, maintain SPC limits, analyze data, and collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Metallurgical Engineering or Materials Science & Engineering or related field
• Internships and/or co-op experience in a metals-related industry.

Responsibilities

• Act as internal/external technical contact for the complete melting and remelting process for Ni/Co-base alloys and specialty steels (VIM/ESR/VAR).
• Provide support for formulation, conditioning, and preparatory operations.
