MetalTek International is seeking a laboratory leader to oversee metallographic testing preparation, evaluations, and approvals. You will train staff, develop procedures for new alloys, and ensure conformance to specifications. The role includes coordinating maintenance, budgeting, and audits to uphold quality standards.

The position requires strong technical writing, independent work capability, and proficiency with MS Office, LIMS, PLM/C, MAPICS, and testing software.

Qualifikationen

• Understand laboratory testing and calibration methods.
• Ability to perform basic electrical and mechanical maintenance on testing equipment.
• Strong technical writing ability for specifications and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Computer skills required (MS Office, Testing Software, PLM/C, MAPICS, LIMS).

Aufgaben

• Perform metallographic testing preparation, evaluations, records, and test approvals.
• Train, evaluate, and direct laboratory technicians assigned to metallographic testing.
• Develop and validate testing procedures for new alloys and requirements.
• Review and interpret industry/customer specifications for conformance and implementation.
• Communicate results to production and technical groups (reports & recommendations).
• Oversee/coordinate maintenance and calibration of equipment by internal and external sources.
• Maintain and order metallographic equipment and supplies.
• Participate in budget planning and equipment purchases, including modifications or additions.
• Maintain laboratory system in compliance with standards and specifications.
• Support customer and third-party audits.
• Perform duties of a general laboratory technician as needed.
• Operate and modify Laboratory Information System for new or modified tests.
