Job summary

Medtronic in the United States is seeking a Principal Manufacturing Engineer to lead metal additive manufacturing efforts across New Product Introduction. You will work with cross‑functional teams to develop scalable, compliant manufacturing solutions and enable successful product launches.

The role requires deep expertise in metal AM, process development, and experience in regulated environments, with involvement from concept through validation and production readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or Master's with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years.
• Experience with metal additive manufacturing in product development, process development, or manufacturing.
• Strong collaboration across cross-functional teams and regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing engineering activities for metal additive manufacturing in NPI programs.
• Incorporate DFM/DfAM principles into product and process decisions with Product Development.
• Support NPI from concept through commercialization including feasibility, process validation, and transfer.
• Develop, optimize, and scale metal AM processes to meet quality, capacity, and compliance needs.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Suppliers to realize product launches.
