Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and support MES applications in a collaborative, agile environment. You will translate business needs into scalable MES solutions and manage the feature backlog with a focus on modernization and reliability.

The role requires strong Java/C#/.NET skills, experience with SQL Server and web/ORM frameworks, and a background in SAFe/agile practices. Hybrid work options are available with on-site collaboration in St. Louis area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Approximately 7 years of experience in a similar software engineering role.
• Experience on large cross-functional projects.
• Translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshooting legacy applications.
• Understanding modern software development principles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to manage feature backlog for MES solutions.
• Translate business requirements into MES solutions.
• Design and develop MES applications with modern practices.
• Provide technical support to factories and internal partners.
• Troubleshoot MES applications and legacy systems.
• Maintain MES documentation and reference materials.
• Contribute to MES technology roadmap and new approaches.
• Promote continuous process improvement in MES and development practices.
• Deliver projects on time and support factory operations.
