Job summary

Qcells Georgia, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in MES and Process Innovation to join the Digital Planning Team.

You will own MES, PI initiatives, and related IT systems for one solar manufacturing facility, driving data-driven improvements and automation across production lines. The role combines hands-on MES development with process optimization, quality improvements, and collaboration with Production, Engineering, Quality, and IT teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of MES solution development and operation experience.
• Experience in automation within high-tech industries such as solar or semiconductors.
• Korean fluency required; working-level English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary IT technical owner for an assigned factory, covering MES, infrastructure, and production systems.
• Monitor system health and ensure 24/7 production continuity; respond to on-site emergencies.
• Design, develop, and implement MES functions to optimize manufacturing processes.
• Integrate MES with ERP, PLCs, AMR, AGV, OHT, and mobile robots for data flow and automation.
• Identify and implement process improvement opportunities, using real-time data analysis.
• Lead MES/PI projects, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.
