Job summary

Bank of America in Chandler, AZ seeks an experienced Credit Underwriter to structure and underwrite complex credit transactions for Merchant Services clients. You will deliver analyses, negotiate terms, and support partners across the Credit Products team.

The role requires 3+ years in commercial underwriting, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience in a high-volume credit environment. In-office role with opportunities to learn and advance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of solid experience in commercial underwriting, performing financial analysis, spreading financials, completing risk ratings, structuring approvals, and portfolio management.
• Experience preparing and completing a variety of Risk Rating scorecards.
• Strong communication and analytical/technical skills; including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring.
• Prior experience in a high volume commercial credit production environment.

Responsibilities

• Underwriting and structuring of straightforward and complex credit transactions.
• Deliver financial, industry, economic and other analysis to recommend and approve merchant exposure for the client.
• Negotiate relationships and approve merchant exposure, while ensuring adherence to credit policies, guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Provide ongoing coaching and support to Sales partners and other Credit Products team members to help build and develop their credit acumen.
• Serve as Credit approver in conjunction with Risk management based on credit approval grid and drives the internal credit approval process.
• Structure and negotiate client merchant services contracts.
