Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to review, analyze, and resolve field coordination issues with project teams. Strong communication and integrity are essential as you interact with staff at all levels on a large data center project in Edinburg, TX.

You will coordinate MEP scopes, plan schedules, review drawings for constructability, and ensure compliance with Mortenson policies while delivering exceptional service to clients and partners.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience.
• Minimum 8 years of construction experience with two of those years having supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects.
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
• Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level.
• Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies.
• Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
• Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service
• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
• Review and understand contract documents
• Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
• Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules
• Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment
• Collaborate with project partner superintendents
