Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent II to lead field coordination and management for data center projects. You will liaise with staff at all levels, ensuring alignment with project goals while maintaining integrity and confidentiality.

The role emphasizes coordinating MEP scopes, scheduling, plans review, and collaboration with design engineers and partner superintendents in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience.
• Minimum 15 years of construction experience.
• Two years supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
• Ability to plan, review, and manage project coordination across trades.
• Strong understanding of construction documents and contract documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work.
• Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service.
• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
• Review and understand contract documents.
• Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies.
• Develop and manage project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules.
• Develop a site logistics plan.
• Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with project partner superintendents.
