Job summary

Pennoni is seeking a Project Manager to contribute to mechanical engineering projects at our Newark, DE office. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across R&D facilities, laboratories, and commercial buildings, managing budget, schedule, and client communications.

The role requires a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and 12+ years in the MEP consulting industry with strong HVAC design experience. PE is preferred; AutoCAD, Revit, and Trane TRACE experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 12+ years of experience in the MEP consulting industry.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC and mechanical utility system design and codes (ICC, ASHRAE, NFPA).
• Experience performing cooling/heating load calculations and related analyses.

Responsibilities

• Manage multidisciplinary project teams across R&D facilities, labs, and commercial buildings.
• Own budget, schedule, quality, staffing, client communications, and sub-consultants.
• Provide technical leadership and review drawings, specs, and calculations.
• Prepare proposals from RFPs or scopes of work.
• Oversee billings and accounts receivable collections.
• Maintain client relationships and develop new clients.
