Job summary

Blue Ridge Executive Search is seeking a skilled MEP Project Manager with 5+ years of commercial mechanical, electrical, and plumbing construction experience. You will coordinate the day-to-day MEP scopes across electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire/life safety, low voltage, and fire sprinkler systems, working closely with project teams and leadership.

You will support estimating, bid reviews, scheduling, shop drawing reviews, and commissioning plans.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a MEP manager.
• Strong grasp of MEP engineering concepts.
• Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to run complex meetings and capture minutes.
• Knowledge of fire/life safety and fire sprinkler systems.
• Familiarity with test and balance processes and building automation.
• CPM scheduling experience; Primavera P6 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP scopes of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire/life safety, and low voltage systems across projects.
• Estimate support, subcontractor bid reviews, scheduling, and constructability reviews for MEP.
• Review trade partner estimates and costs related to design changes.
• Manage owner-architect interface during planning and installation of systems.
• Review MEP shop drawings and submittals.
• Develop commissioning plans identifying tests, inspections, startup, and documentation requirements.
• Oversee MEP coordination via the project VDC process.
• Provide onsite construction support for MEP systems including startup, balancing, and training.
• Develop and oversee MEP quality and safety programs; lead safety cause mapping.
• Work with project team and leadership to ensure deadlines and quality.
