Job summary

Build RPO is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major mechanical construction initiatives across data centers, healthcare, pharma, and tech sectors in the Charlotte area. You will guide high-performing teams, shape project outcomes, and own multi-million dollar programs with a focus on safety, schedule, and client satisfaction.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in mechanical construction project management, strong knowledge of HVAC/piping systems, and experience using scheduling tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in Mechanical Construction, with HVAC, Piping and Plumbing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC and piping systems, building products and construction standards.
• Strong scheduling and computer skills; proficiency with project planning tools (e.g., P6, MS Project).
• Ability to lead teams, manage client relationships, and drive project success.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead complex mechanical projects and project teams across HVAC, plumbing, and piping from start to finish, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.
• Ensure site safety compliance with site safety plans, audits, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning.
• Coordinate with Design/Engineering to develop permit drawings and build plans; manage submittals and RFIs.
• Mentor other Project Managers and coordinate subcontractors, contracts, scope changes, and schedules.
• Develop advanced project schedules and manage project budgeting and forecasting from start to finish.
• Build strong relationships with Owners, General Contractors, Vendors, and Subcontractors and communicate with field teams.
