Mortenson Construction seeks a Senior MEP Project Manager I to lead Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing projects on medium to large scale, ensuring quality, timeliness, and safety while mentoring the project team and developing strong client relationships. The role requires 8+ years in construction management, a relevant Bachelor's degree, and willingness to travel up to 100% across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field experience.
• Active listening and effective communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 100%.
• Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and Affermative Action plans.
• Minimum eight years of construction management experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
• Current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall project financial health, including projections, budgeting, and invoicing.
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier selections, billings, and contract management.
• Direct 3-D coordination and commissioning processes, ensuring conflict resolution and testing.
• Lead project closeout activities, including manuals, model turnover, and training.
• Supervise and develop Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s).
• Serve as main contact for owner, resolving site concerns and building relationships.
• Manage change orders and obtain necessary approvals.
• Ensure quality, risk, safety, and compliance throughout the project.
