Job summary

Gray AES in the United States is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer - MEP to support multiple office locations, including Dallas, TX. The ideal candidate will lead complex mechanical design efforts for industrial and commercial facilities, integrating HVAC, piping, and utility systems with BIM workflows.

You will mentor junior engineers, coordinate with arch/structural/electrical teams, perform load calculations and energy modeling, and ensure compliance with IBC, ASHRAE, NFPA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.
• Professional Engineering License is required.
• 8–10+ years of progressive mechanical design experience in industrial or commercial facilities.
• Strong expertise in HVAC, piping, and utility systems with BIM workflows.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for mechanical design across complex projects.
• Develop mechanical system architecture, load calculations, and energy modeling.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and automation teams.
• Prepare specifications, procurement packages, diagrams, and commissioning protocols.
• Mentor junior engineers and support business development activities.
