Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Raleigh, NC is seeking an experienced MEP design engineer to design, coordinate, and support installation of building systems for safe, reliable delivery. You will develop HVAC and electrical power/lighting designs, create layouts in AutoCAD and Revit, and produce specifications aligned to project needs.

You will collaborate with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and vendors to integrate MEP systems, review shop drawings and RFIs, perform site visits, and support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in construction, facility management, or MEP design.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP/BIM modeling workflows.
• Able to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Design HVAC and electrical systems to meet project requirements.
• Coordinate across disciplines to integrate MEP systems.
• Review shop drawings and RFIs and support site visits.
• Perform calculations for heat loads and equipment sizing.
