A leading engineering firm in Raleigh, North Carolina is seeking a Mechanical Designer/Engineer to join their Mechanical team in the MEP Buildings sector. Qualifications

• 4+ years of building HVAC design experience.
• EIT or Registered Professional Engineer preferred.
• Experience designing in science and technology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review HVAC calculations for loads.
• Develop equipment room sizes during SD and DD phases.
• Select and schedule equipment.
• Manage and deliver revisions and sketches according to proper numbering convention.
• Conduct QA/QC reviews of all calculations.

Skills

Revit or CAD proficiency

HVAC calculations

Knowledge of Mechanical and energy codes

Mentoring Designer level staff

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering
