Job summary

Procon is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Inspector to support field inspection of complex MEP construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will bring extensive construction inspection experience, strong knowledge of industry practices and applicable codes, and the ability to effectively coordinate with project teams while maintaining accurate inspection records.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in construction inspection with complex MEP projects.
• Significant experience in a similar inspection role.
• Fire alarm system design, installation, testing, and commissioning expertise.
• Experience with fire alarm control panels, devices, detectors, and annunciators.
• Phased fire alarm demolition, replacement, and cutover experience preferred.
• Associate degree or trade school in construction or equivalent cert.
• Strong knowledge of MEP methods, codes, and life-safety requirements.
• Experience reviewing work for contract, code, and spec compliance.
• Proficient with construction management software; E-Builder preferred.
• Strong written reporting, coordination with contractors and teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized field inspections for designated MEP disciplines and related construction.
• Provide field oversight for phased demolition and replacement of fire alarm systems.
• Inspect removal and replacement of fire alarm components and devices.
• Monitor installation of new fire alarm systems, testing, commissioning, and cutover.
• Verify installations comply with contract documents, plans, specs, and codes.
• Inspect complex MEP construction for contract and code compliance.
• Schedule, coordinate, and perform inspections across construction phases.
• Evaluate workmanship, identify deficiencies, and recommend approvals/rejections.
• Monitor labor safety and maintain written inspection reports.
• Document inspection activities using E-Builder and report findings to stakeholders.
