Job summary

Wohlsen Construction seeks an experienced MEP Project Coordinator/Engineer to lead coordination of mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and electrical systems from pre-construction through post-construction phases. You will inspect sites, ensure code compliance, and drive quality control across trades.

Responsibilities include contributing to submittals, change orders, and MEP coordination with BIM models, architects, and clients.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Construction Technology, Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–7 years of MEP construction experience.
• Experience in MEP project management with combined values up to $5M.
• Experience in healthcare, higher education, multifamily, senior living, laboratory or commercial sectors.
• Working knowledge of commissioning and BIM (Revit/Navisworks).
• Knowledge of MEP systems: HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, electrical, controls.
• LEED accreditation a plus.
• Strong communication with contractors and teams.
• MS Office and collaboration tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Bluebeam, Procore).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and electrical aspects from pre-construction to post-construction.
• Visit sites for MEP inspections and ensure code compliance.
• Oversee MEP installations for quality control and punch lists.
• Support submittals, change orders, and coordination drawings.
• Develop and update project schedule with the Project Manager and Superintendent.
• Collaborate with client, architects and subcontractors.
• Assist with commissioning and constructability reviews.
• Support procurement and scope development with Operations Team.
• Read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications.
